About AirQo Nexus
AirQo Nexus is the web workspace for exploring, comparing, visualizing, and exporting air-quality data across Africa. Use it to answer a quick question about a location, build a reusable trend chart, compare places, or prepare data for analysis in another tool.
This documentation is for individual users, organization members, and developers who use the Nexus Console. It focuses on the current user-facing application. Platform administration and sensor deployment workflows are managed separately.
What you can do in Nexus
- Explore: Use Home, the Interactive Map, and Air Quality Rankings to find current readings and compare monitored locations.
- Analyze: Build and save trend charts, compare the latest readings side by side, and inspect forecasts and health guidance.
- Export: Select sites, devices, cities, or countries and download data as CSV, Excel, PDF, or JSON.
- Bring your own data: Upload CSV or XLSX files to the Dataset Visualizer and create charts or maps without changing the source file.
- Work with a team: Organization workspaces provide shared monitoring and export tools plus member management, roles, and organization settings.
- Use the API: The Console provides usage information, subscription controls, and API clients for authenticated programmatic access.
AirQo data is available under the Fair Usage Policy, but access requirements depend on the workflow. Programmatic access requires a secret token, and raw-data API access requires a Standard Tier subscription or above. For programmatic access, start with the API documentation and the Researchers Guide.
