Navigating the Platform
AirQo Nexus has an individual workspace, organization workspaces, and a global menu for tools that are shared across workflows. The pages you see depend on your current workspace and, for organization management, your permissions.
Individual workspace
Use the individual workspace to explore monitored locations, analyze trends and comparisons, export AirQo data, and visualize your own files.

Organization workspace
An organization workspace is shared with other members. It includes the same monitoring and export tools plus management pages that appear only when your role grants the required permission.

If a management page is missing, contact an organization administrator. The page may be hidden because your role does not include the required permission.
Platform layout
Header
The header can include:
- Menu: Opens the global sidebar.
- Logo: Returns to the home page for the current workspace.
- Organization Selector: Switches between your personal workspace and organizations you can access.
- App Menu: Links to other AirQo products and API documentation.
- Profile Menu: Opens your profile, settings, pending invitations, and sign-out controls.
Workflow sidebar
The desktop sidebar shows the pages for your current workspace. It changes when you switch between the individual and organization workflows. On smaller screens, the sidebar is replaced by a bottom bar with shortcuts to Home or Dashboard, Map, and Export; open the mobile sidebar for the remaining pages.
Global sidebar
Select the menu button to open the global sidebar. It provides cross-workspace links such as:
- Home: Return to the appropriate home page for the current workspace.
- Dataset Visualizer: Upload your own CSV or Excel files and build charts.
- Air Quality Rankings: Compare countries and cities by PM2.5.
- System Management: Visible only to platform administrators.
Ask AirQo is an optional beta assistant exposed from Home and supported page headers when it is enabled for your environment. It is not a permanent global sidebar item.
Switching workspaces
- Open the Organization Selector in the header.
- Choose an organization to enter its workspace.
- Choose your personal account to return to the individual workspace.
Your saved charts and comparisons are scoped to the current workspace. If a saved item is not visible after switching, return to the workspace where it was created.
